We Support Blue Cross

We are official partners with Blue Cross, a charity that provides veterinary care, offers expert behavioural support and finds homes for pets in need. They have been running for over 125 years!

We have been donating 1% of our sales to Blue Cross since November 2020, totalling over £10,000 and counting. If you have purchased from Anicura, we want to say a massive thank you for helping us support the amazing work Blue Cross do for so many pets and owners.

So, who are Blue Cross and what do they do?

As we mentioned, Blue Cross is mainly known for rehoming pets in need. You can adopt a range of animals from Blue Cross such as rabbits, hamsters, cats, dogs, horses, guinea pigs and more. Across their 11 rehoming centres, thousands of animals are being happily rehomed each year, after a thorough process of training, rehabilitation and vetting possible new owners. Blue Cross deals with pets that can be traumatised, neglected or have behavioural issues, which they work very hard on to address so that the pet's new home will be their forever home.

 

Blue Cross also offer their expert knowledge in one on one sessions with your pet to improve behavioural issues. They also have a department that focusses on educating the younger generations as they give free talks to primary schools and youth groups about responsible pet ownership.

Furthermore, they offer free veterinary support for owners who live within the catchment area of one of their animal hospitals. This is for owners who can't afford private veterinary treatment. Blue Cross understands the emotional and mental struggle we might face when we have a sick pet. To offer as much support as possible, they also offer a pet bereavement and pet loss service. Owners struggling with the grief of losing a pet can also contact the Pet Bereavement Support Service via email, call or web chat for free.

  
We are honoured to be partnered with Blue Cross because they have such an impact on pet and owners' lives. Our founders Claudia & Martin have two rescue dogs themselves, Bella and Ollie, which is why this organisation holds such significant meaning to us at Anicura. We are so proud to have raised money and awareness for this charity, and we are excited to continue to make a difference!
