What is Hoof Clay?
Hoof Clay is designed to treat and prevent hoof issues, including thrush and mud fever.
- Antimicrobial and anti-fungal
- Forms a protective barrier over the hoof
- Cooling and anti-inflammatory to soothe discomfort and promote healing
- Promotes hoof strength
What are the ingredients and what do they do?
Zinc Oxide - antifungal properties, plus forms a protective barrier
Montmorillonite (Clay) - absorbs excess moisture, dirt and bacteria from the hoof,
helps cleanse the hoof and maintain optimal moisture balance
Aloe Vera - soothes irritated tissue and stimulates regeneration, plus hydrates the hoof
Honey- antimicrobial and strengthening
Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil- antimicrobial and antifungal properties, plus soothes and cools
Tea Tree Oil - antifungal and anti-inflammatory, protecting the hoof from infections and supports healthy hoof growth.
How is it applied?
Start with a clean and dry hoof- this is key for the product to adhere and offer long lasting protection. Hoof Clay can then be applied in a generous layer to the entire bottom of the hoof, including the frog and sole, trying to squeeze it into the grooves. The product is best applied with a brush.
How often does it need to be applied?
We recommend once a day, or in urgent cases, twice a day, once in the morning & the evening.
