How to use
Horse Spray:
We recommend applying the Spray 3-4 times a day at first (although it will not do any harm if you feel you need to apply more frequently than this). When you start to see an improvement, you can reduce the frequency to 1-2 times a day. When the skin has returned to relative normalcy, you can continue using the Spray a few times a week to keep the skin topped up with moisture and nutrients.
Horse Gel:
With clean hands, pump some Gel onto your fingers and gently massage it into the affected area, or dab on if the skin is very sore.
For itchy and problem skin, we recommend using the Spray and Gel together. In this case, start by applying the Spray and briefly wait until it’s been absorbed by the skin. Follow up by applying the Gel on any red hot, sensitive, sore or damaged areas to further nourish and protect the skin.

What is the difference between the Spray and the Gel?
The Spray is great at stopping the itch/scratch cycle quickly and is easy to use on larger areas or longer fur. It has 15 natural oils and extracts that hydrate and feed the skin a plethora of vitamins and minerals. This increases the skin's strength over time and helps prevent flare ups and skin irritations.
The Gel is designed to soothe sore and inflamed skin. It can be used on broken skin to aid wound healing and is perfect to use on sensitive and targeted areas. The cooling gel texture calms irritated skin quickly whilst the omega-rich formula helps nourish the area back to health.
They work very well together, as the Spray sinks quickly into the skin, and once absorbed, the Gel sits nicely on top to protect the skin and promote healing.
Is it good for sensitive skin?
Anicura was specifically designed for pets with sensitive and allergy-prone skin. However, we would recommend doing a patch test if you know your horse has particularly sensitive skin - just to be safe! The best way to do a patch test is to apply a small amount in an area where your horse is less likely to lick it off, such as the back of the neck. Apply the product as close to the skin as possible and wait for 24 hours before using it everywhere else.
Should I apply the spray all over or just on problem areas?
The Spray is a great product for maintaining skin health overall. Whilst we recommend focusing on the problem areas, you can definitely use it all over, for strong, healthy skin and a beautiful, full, shiny coat.
How long will it take before I see results?
This is really difficult to say, as every skin is different. Some of our customers will see results after one or just a few applications, for some it may take a couple of weeks. The most important thing is applying frequently and sticking with it. The skin fully renews itself every 28 days, so one would expect a change within this timeframe.
My mare started rubbing her tail last summer and made it bald and looking like a toilet brush so my sister did some research and came across this company and we was like let’s give it a go! Within a week you could see small changes and see the itchiness was dramatically reduced. I use these products all year round as she is prone to itchy skin. As soon as the clocks changed this year I missed one day of spray and gel and she rubbed her tail and made it a bit bald but I have not missed another day since I use these spray and the gel twice a day and use the shampoo every other day, the small bottles of the spray and gel generally last me a month and the shampoo lasts a lot longer as you only need a few drops in your water to get a lather. Would recommend these products 100% and now won’t use anything else on my horse

Apollo suffered very itchy mane and poll last summer to the point I had the vet out fearing the start of sweet itch. My friend advised hogging his mane and forelock so I could deal with the itchiness as by last autumn just a random tufty mane survived. This I did and have kept him hogged using the cooling itch gel and the spray his reactiveness has reduced greatly and so I always ensure I have a good stock to hand

My horse has cellulitis on one leg. Have used the duo pack regularly and this has reduced the inflammation considerably.
I ordered the Duo Pack as my horse was suffering from hives and antihistamines was recommended and an oatmeal shampoo but nothing was helping. However after a week of using the Duo Pack there was a vast improvement and they were gone within another week! I wish I knew about this stuff last summer. Highly recommend for hives, as that's my only experience with it so far.

I like the brand as iv used it before on my cat so that’s why I had it for the horses too ,

The only downside side and let down is the price. I feel it very expensive for what it is and how much you get.

Our mare a traditional gypsie cob, had rubbed her mane till it was sore and bright pink, vets were called etc.
We tried steroid cream, mite injections allergy meds but nothing worked.
Saw the advert on social media and thought yeah why not give it a go and so far so good, 10 days and mane looks lot better not so angry and actually she has stopped rubbing it. Can’t wait to see if her mane will start to come back

Have been using the shampoo gel and spray on my horse who has been having a real itchy time of late and this has helped to heal the skin and calm the itch . I had the vet out and she to continue what I was doing as it seemed to be working and she took a photo of your product 👍 downside the bottles are tiny and it is quite expensive

My horse has linear keratosis on hind leg side I tried your product too see if it would help the dry patches it didn't it just made them red. Never mind it is a hard skin condition too treat. There isn't a cure just try things too see if they help the look seen as though your product helped rainscald

Fast delivery. Was disappointed in the size of bottles as I never looked before purchasing but was more than happy when seen results. My horse has a very flakey tale and he's forever scratching & very itchy but after a few days of applying the flakiness as now gone. Can't really comment yet on body itching as small bottles dont go far but will definitely be trying the shampoo come spring/summer.
I must add i had tried several different medicated shampoos prior that never made a difference.

We do make a large Spray and a large Shampoo, especially for horses and we have a value/duo pack for those two large sizes too, so hopefully that will help. The Gel we only have in a small size, because it's mostly for scabs/cuts/scrapes and a little goes a long way, even with a horse - so hopefully the Gel will become a yard favourite - as we all know horses always end up with some kind of cut of course :-). Please keep an eye on any offers as well, we try and do them as often as we can afford!
