Anicura Horse Shampoo is a high-quality natural pet shampoo, filled to the brim with plant oils and extracts. Suitable for all skin types, this gentle, natural Shampoo soothes skin prone to sensitivity, dryness, sweet itch, eczema, dermatitis, mud fever, rain scald, seborrhoea (dandruff), skin allergies and other skin irritations.
Our Horse Shampoo has been created to provide a natural alternative to the harsh and chemical shampoos that are on the market. The naturally active ingredients have been carefully selected for their bio-scientifically proven ability to soothe itchy skin, rebalance problem skin and support the maintenance of healthy skin. This delicately scented Shampoo will leave your horse's skin and coat feeling nourished and moisturised, with a beautiful shine.
Allow to sit for a few minutes then rinse off with lukewarm water.
Remember our shampoo is low-foaming because it uses gentle, natural foaming agents. This does not mean you have to use more product, the product is still equally effective.
We do not recommend washing your horse too often, as it can disturb the delicate balance of natural oils that can be found on the skin.

Can I use the Shampoo as a treatment for itchy or problem skin?
Although our Shampoo is full of calming and nourishing ingredients, we don’t recommend relying solely on a shampoo to combat dry or itchy skin. That’s because you would always need to give your horse a bath in order to treat them, and bathing too frequently can actually disturb the natural balance of the skin. Whilst our Shampoo was developed to soothe itchy skin and boost skin health, we recommend relying more on our Horse Spray and Horse Gel as treatment products - they can actually be applied as often as needed!
How often can I use the Shampoo?
We generally recommend washing your horse once or twice a month. If you feel the need to bathe more often, for instance due to muddy conditions, this high-quality, natural horse shampoo, is designed to provide gentle and nourishing care. Avoid over-washing as it may disturb the delicate balance of the skin.
Why should I use a special animal shampoo?
Did you know that your horse’s skin is actually more sensitive than your own? That’s because their skin is usually shielded from harsh elements by their coat. Therefore, products that may seem really innocent to us, such as baby shampoo, can really irritate your horse's skin.
Our Anicura Horse Shampoo is free from SLS/SLES, synthetic perfume and other synthetics commonly known to irritate sensitive skin. Instead, it is filled with soothing and nourishing natural actives such as Aloe Vera and Lavender Oil!
Does the Shampoo have a strong smell?
As you may know, our products are free from synthetic fragrance as it can upset sensitive skin. That doesn't mean our products are unscented though - our Shampoo has a beautifully delicate scent due to the presence of natural and skin-boosting plant extracts such as Lavender Oil, Chamomile Extract and Geranium Oil.
Massage Into Wet Coat: Apply to a wet coat and gently work the shampoo through the fur. Leave, Then Rinse: Allow to sit for a few minutes before rinsing thoroughly with lukewarm water. Repeat as needed: We do not recommend bathing your pet too often, as it would disturb the delicate balance of natural oils on the skin.

Wish I'd have found this sooner! It's the perfect shampoo, not only does it make them super clean and shiny, it has specific ingredients to help keep their skin and coat healthy. I've used this a handful of times and I've still a decent amount from a 300ml bottle left! Definitely buying more soon xx

It’s okay….. have used three times to improve my cobs itchy legs but no noticeable changes to his behaviour.
I have investigated other possible reasons, will continue to use shampoo twice weekly!

Truly helped my mare Nova with her allergies, being new to the UK. So I stocked up for next spring.
Helps enormously with my Chestnut horse and his summer itchy mane! Lovely smell and easy to use. Leave on for three minutes and then rinse off -perfect.
We love this product and my horse appreciates calmer skin. A 1 litre bottle lasts us about a month, but it would be even better if a 5 litre container was available.
